In 1983, DRI was founded by Shel Myeroff as an employment agency serving the Cleveland, Ohio market, then evolved into an executive search firm, focusing on placing professionals in the Supply Chain Industry with a special emphasis on the Automatic Identification and Data Capture industry. Soon after being recognized as a leader in the Supply Chain space, DRI continued growth, and began introducing new recruiting practice areas.

DRI’s current President & CEO, Dan Charney, appointed in 2013, has a unique blend of business acumen, industry perspectives, and executive search expertise that has continued growth at DRI substantially over the years. Touting over 37 practice areas and more than 90 employees, DRI has more than doubled its revenue growth in the past 5 years alone. DRI proudly offers contingency search, retained ‘Direct Retention’ search, and after integrating with former sister company, Direct Consulting Associates in 2019, contract staffing services to clients across several industries. In September of 2022, DRI was acquired by Starfish Partners, an international investment and ownership platform for search specialists, allowing DRI to leverage growth and continue to scale for years to come.
