As Partner and Executive Search Director of Food Processing & Foodservice E&S, Rachel Makoski and her team are tasked with recognizing, qualifying, and recruiting key talent within the Food & Beverage Processing and Food Service Equipment verticals. She has spent her professional career in purchasing, gaining valuable skills in negotiating contract terms, resolving quality issues, facilitating resolutions regarding accounts receivable/payable issues, and cultivating and maintaining excellent supplier relationships, which aids in building quality relationships with her clients and candidates.
As a graduate of John Carroll University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Rachel has excellent verbal and written communication skills, making her a great team member while still having the ability to work independently, handle simultaneous projects, and still meet deadlines with accuracy. Additionally, having finished her MBA, with a focus in process management and human resources, she has gained valuable knowledge of talent acquisition and the hiring process. She is a devoted learner with an insatiable appetite to gain new knowledge and apply it.
Also a published writer, Rachel has won several awards and scholarships during her undergraduate career for her work as the Editor-in-Chief of The Carroll News (John Carroll University) and in Cleveland Magazine. She continued her professional writing for a short time after college for a local newspaper. Most importantly, she has two young children that keep her on her toes from practicing her son's wrestling moves to attempting to help her daughter with her competitive gymnastics routines!
